EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON “DESIGN THINKING TO FACILITATE CREATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING @ WORKPLACE”
Design Thinking is a structured methodology used by designers to develop and deliver products, services and experiences that addresses complex latent needs of humans.
The Design Thinking practitioner’s workshop programmed is a five-day extensive workshop. The workshop aims at familiarizing participants with the methodology and tools of design thinking. Some of the tools that would be discussed and used during the workshop include Creating Personas, TRIZ Matrix, Journey Maps, Stakeholder Maps, Empathy maps, Brainstorming, Prototyping, etc.
KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES
Ø Application of the Design Thinking concept.
Ø Working in a team to visualize and design a possible new product or service.
Ø Assessment of the market, business and technical merits of that concept.
Ø Learning to listen to the voice of a customer and empathize with them.
Ø Evaluation of the financial viability of a new product or service and assessing risks in design assignments.
A few of the instructor-facilitated methods and tools which would be used as appropriate include: Pre-reading, case studies, Group assignments, Spot quizzes, Warm ups and Ice-Breakers, Management Videos and Role plays.
