The new education policy envisaged and announced by the HRD ministry is an endeavour to overhaul and regularize the education system of the country. The contemporary competitive and globalized business environment demanded such an action from the ministry. A look around our environment will inform us that we have so many CEOs of the Top notch MNCs but no one like Google, Microsoft or Apple to boast of. The root cause of this lies in the age old education system of the country where the students need to go to tutors as early as from third or fourth standard. With new policy the schools and colleges will be forced to make changes which will bring down such dependencies on the private tutors. On the other hand shifting focus on the skill enhancement and vocational training will lead to more virtual training platforms to make it possible for everyone interested to get the affordable access to these kind of courses. With these changes we will witness a lot of changes in the pedagogy style and hopefully the rise of new India where we can have our own version of Apple or google.
